A Prosperity Plan is based around creating a series of necessary activities for you to leverage your skills and other assets in order to evolve in a way that maintains your enthusiasm and passion for the professional activities that you are involved in. Whether it’s a business you created or a career path within someone else’s organisation, the process helps individuals to plan a way forward where they are running their life instead of being hamsters on a wheel.
As Harold Whitman so adequately put it:
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
The principles at work in the Prosperity Plan are:
- A place to analyse where you are and where you want to go
- Creating and moving towards your ideal business or career
- Planning your work around your desired outcomes and working your plan to sharpen your business talents
- living your integrity with vitality and rigour.
I branched out on my own in February 2003 after having worked for 10 years in Corporate Finance and not feeling like I was in control of my own career path. I decided that I needed to understand what motivates me and to ensure that I had a business plan of sorts that would take “me” into account and evolve along with my skills as well as be able to use the planning tool on a continual basis, rather than have a static document that didn’t provide any value after it was initially created. I initially launched the programme as The Organic Business plan and have recently retailored it towards individuals who want to leverage their skills within their professional life and develop their overall prosperity.
It has been delivered via telephone, 1:1 as well as in face to face group sessions.
